As a Senior/Lead Data Scientist, you’ll join a team of highly skilled data scientists working on a broad range of business problems within our Claims Advanced Analytics team. With a focus on helping improve the accuracy and efficiency of our Claims handling processes, you and your team will support an agenda focused on generating millions of dollars of incremental value - specifically in the 'fixing cars' space inclusive of estimatics, triage, and claims routing. You’ll use your experience working with machine vision and neural networks to solve complex problems and handle large and varied data sets to create smarter and more personalized claims experiences for our talented claims representatives and more than 20 million customers. Must-Have Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field (e.g. Mathematics).
  • In lieu of the above, Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field (e.g. Mathematics) and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (e.g. R, Python) and in using various database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (e.g. R, Python) and in using various database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

Preferred skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and one higher level programming language (e.g., Python or R)
  • Experience in machine vision/neural networks
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with terminal/shell script 
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., GIT) 

Compensation

  • $80,300 - $147,500/year depending on position level and experience
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% - 40% (depending on position level) of your eligible earnings based on company performance
