Are you passionate about data? The Marketing team at ezCater serves hundreds of thousands of professionals feeding their teams with our platform - with data at the heart of decision making and strategic growth.  We are expanding our Data Science capabilities across the team.  Applying advanced statistical and Machine Learning methods to key optimization spaces, such as pricing, customer targeting, demand elasticity and LTV optimization, this role is critical to our mission of continuously improving the outcomes we provide to our customers.

As a member of the Marketing Data Science team, you will be working closely with business partners to address high-value and high-visibility problems from the position of market leadership in a fast-paced and fast-evolving industry.  Data Scientists at ezCater draw from a strong peer group across multiple specialties for collaboration and have a modern ML Operations stack and team to ensure the work doesn’t end with a report, but lives in our product and decision making processes over the long term.

You Will

• Leveraging a modern Data Science/ML Stack, use advanced analytical, modeling and simulation techniques to develop insights and systems that improve our ability to serve our customers and catering partners efficiently. 
• Expose patterns across structured and unstructured data to identify business opportunities, working with business partners on problems that will materially benefit our customers and our results.  
• Focus on end-to-end problem solving, working with business analysts and BI teams on exploratory analysis and Operations and Software engineering teams to productionalize model outputs.
• Proactively identify opportunities for the application of Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning across the catering partner business - serve as an advocate for continuous improvement across the analytics space.
• Contribute to ezCater’s culture of personal and professional growth by leading projects with multiple stakeholders and mentoring others in this valuable field.

You Have:

• Experience with both natural and controlled experiment design and a proven ability to solve and communicate complex problems using both technical skills and creativity.  
• Expertise and prior experience applying Python, R or similar programming languages within statistical modeling and ML spaces. 
• Experience working with common Python tools (e.g. Scikit-learn) preferred.
• A proven ability to apply a scientific approach to building models, evaluating statistical outcomes and continuous improvement of your work.
• Proficiency in SQL is required. A background in modern programming languages is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Our data stack is Snowflake, DBT, Stitch, Airflow, AWS, Sagemaker, MLFlow, Kubernetes + Docker. Any experience with the above is a nice-to-have.
• A sharp mind, a soft heart and a large funny bone.
