VetsEZ is seeking a Business Analyst to be a part of a remote team supporting a government project providing comprehensive, modernized, automated and streamlined capabilities while supporting the employee lifecycle throughout. This Senior Application/System Analyst will be responsible for analyzing specific business processes regarding department operations methods and controls. The candidate must reside in the Washington, DC area, as this is a DC based remote position.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for a business
• Defining business requirements and reporting them back to respective stakeholders
• Recommend solutions for planning problems and technical phases of comprehensive planning projects
• Identifying and prioritizing technical and functional requirements
• Apply management analysis processes, statistical methods, and advanced technical and analytical research techniques to develop solutions and mitigating strategies based on business requirements

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting or related scientific/technical discipline is required. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience is required
• Extensive IT experience in the analysis, design, and integration of information systems and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and development software
• Well versed in understanding structured analysis and design methodologies for the translation of systems requirements from business needs with a proven track record
• Ability to evaluate cost factors and risk

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in VA processes and systems.
• Ability to obtain a government clearance.
