As a Manager – Data Science, Product Analytics, you will be responsible for leading data scientists who partner deeply with our Engineering, Product, and Design teams to accelerate data-driven product development. Your role will be centralized across many products in the Lattice platform and you will have a unique opportunity to make a large impact on the influence of data on a quickly growing customer base and the broad suite of products that Lattice offer. In addition to partnering with Engineering, Product, and Design leadership on strategic initiatives, you will also manage full-stack data scientists across a variety of projects and problems ranging from data modeling in dbt to reporting in Looker and analysis in python or R.
What You Will Do
Guide business impact of data scientists partnered with our product team, advising on topics such as metric creation, feature success analysis, and roadmap prioritization
Regularly communicate out insights, commentary, and recommendations about the state of our products in light of our product strategy
Support the personal development of data scientists by advising on technical analysis including machine learning techniques and experimentation
Create and contribute to team-wide processes and documentation
Manage sprint planning and workload distribution across data scientists as they prioritize work across the platform
Guide technological decisions in collaboration with our analytics engineers and other key stakeholders
Roadmap Data’s bi-annual plan, managing expectations and inputs from across the engineering, product, and design organization
What You Will Bring to the Table
Have hired, trained and supervised individuals in a data or analytics function
5+ years experience working in Data Science or Analytics
Proven ability to deliver data, recommendations, and insights that have a material impact on product development, strategy, or other key business areas in a B2B Saas environment
A track record of collaboration with stakeholders
Deep expertise in a facet of data science including but not limited to machine learning, experimentation, or data analysis
History of guiding teams to successfully complete projects on time and within scope
Sharp SQL skills
Hand-on experience with either R or Python
Familiarity with a BI tool such as Looker
