We have an unusual, yet exciting, role in our Forecasting & Analytics (F&A) team within Revenue Operations (RevOps) which is a hot-topic area within growth businesses with direct and sales-assisted motions.
Our analysts are spreadsheet wizards who are also hands-on with SQL and Redash reports. They are highly reactive to ad-hoc data needs of a variety of stakeholders with daily and weekly reporting motions.
We are embracing DataOps practices, including the adoption of tools like DBT to bring software-like rigor to our work. We are transitioning to “self-serve” data solutions where stakeholders discover insights for themselves, such as advanced Tableau (e.g. with embedded Python). Our mission is to allow stakeholders (not just analysts) to produce insights “at the speed of thought.” This role is central to that mission.
Gusto has a centralized DS center-of-excellence (CoE). Some of their models already underpin F&A work. However, this role is for a data scientist to be embedded in our F&A team to achieve the following:

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $123,000-$138,000/year in Denver & most remote locations, and $149,000 - $167,000/year for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
