We are seeking an innately curious leader to establish and lead our Business Analytics function, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction by harnessing the potential of data across every facet of our business. You will report to the CFO and can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo’s headquarters in NYC.

What You'll Do

    • Establish a reimagined Business Analytics function at Olo, including team design, staffing, systems selection, implementation and integration, and cadence of streamlined reporting.
    • Act as an internal thought leader in defining the metrics that matter, and create a set of processes to compile and disseminate this information to internal and external stakeholders efficiently and understandably.
    • Create and own an organizational data dictionary, focusing on a set of standard SaaS and operational metrics that help to assess overall business performance.
    • Leverage external benchmarking and various datasets to determine and measure performance.
    • Assist in the data-related requirements associated with Olo’s Quote-to-Cash process, ensuring data is consistent, streamlined, and accurate.
    • Act as the single source of truth for all business reporting needs, inclusive of the Board, Operating team, and Senior Leadership team, among others.
    • Effectively communicate and socialize actionable results and findings throughout the organization in a simple and intuitive narrative format.
    • Own various aspects, as well as, partner with cross-functional teams to continually integrate the tools, methods, and processes supporting analysis.
    • Establish a team vision and lead a team of analysts as the subject matter experts across the organization. This includes instilling standard methodologies and processes, managing workloads and deadlines, and continually training and upskilling team members.
    • Develop and mentor a team of data-driven and innately curious individuals in support of the business analytics function at Olo.

What We'll Expect From You

    • 10+ years’ experience in analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area
    • Previous demonstrated experience establishing a business analytics function with a high-growth SaaS company
    • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline
    • Analytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience (using tools, applications, platforms, etc.)
    • Strong operational, process design, and systems integration skills
    • Adept understanding of various coding languages (such as: Python, R, SQL, etc.), BI Tools (such as: Tableau, Looker, PowerBI), MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
    • Ability to zoom out to tell a compelling story based on data analysis
    • Ability to assess various vendor technical capabilities in meeting the needs of the business analytics stack
    • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, deal with ambiguity, and lead teams through complex and challenging cross-functional projects.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.

Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $141,067 - $202,247 annually, depending on the experience you bring and your location. We look forward to discussing your salary expectations and our full total rewards offerings throughout the interview process.
