HubSpot is looking for a Data & Systems Analyst to provide a strategic role on the HubSpot Legal & Compliance Team.
In this role at HubSpot, you’ll enable data-driven decision making and solve business challenges with systems and technology. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with Legal & Compliance leadership, as well as cross-functional business teams, to understand company objectives and use data and systems to influence strategic direction and solve problems. You will develop key reporting infrastructure to provide operational and analytical support.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Develop a repeatable data-driven decision making approach to legal and compliance practice, with objectives of reducing business friction and building for scale
- Dig into data through various technology systems and recommend and implement improved and accessible reporting
- Own and improve key reporting, working with stakeholders to ensure that data is accessible and metrics are well-defined
- Package and present recommendations to executive and global management through a balance of quantitative analysis and qualitative outside-in perspectives
- Own and manage all Legal & Compliance team technical systems and associated vendor relationships, while optimizing use of existing systems and implementing new systems, as needed
- Establish a Legal and Compliance team technology roadmap, helping to build a foundation for team growth and scale
- Partner with internal teams on cross-functionally owned systems and processes to improve and enhance Legal and Compliance team service and efficiency
- Drive development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) among the Legal & Compliance team
- Deep dive into KPI trends to identify opportunity for improvement and track related action plans
- Work with other various team members on a variety of analyses and opportunities as needed
We are looking for people who:
- Have at 3+ years of experience in a data and systems role, strong preference for experience at a technology company looking at operational issues, with established skills in project and process management
- Have experience bringing disparate data sources to create new insights into the businesses operations
- Have proven success managing and enabling business processes at scale
- Are able to synthesize data from multiple sources and angles, putting it in the larger business context
- Are effective at understanding business issues and objectives and summarizing related data trends
- Have experience managing and implementing technology systems and working working with vendors
- Are able to manage deadlines appropriately and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, and transparent environment
- Have proven ability to independently partner with senior leadership and develop strong relationships based on trust with team members
- Have expert level experience with Excel and SQL, Looker or other Business Intelligence platforms experience is a plus
- Are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and have overall interest in learning new systems and processes quickly
- Possess strong data visualization and communication skills, especially via an internal wiki, Slack and Zoom (it’s how we communicate)
- Have superior organizational skills and eager to learn quickly
