Role
As the lead Data Engineer on the Marketing Operations Analytics Team, you will be responsible for developing new intelligence around marketing performance through data architecture and infrastructure development. You will work closely with Go-To-Marketing sales and marketing operations teams to enable effective measurement and continual optimization of campaign performance.
Responsibilities
- Possess deep understanding of Cloud Data Warehouse methodologies, Data Architecture, Data Modeling and Digital Metadata.
- Deliver highly available, reliable, innovative large-scale data warehousing solutions to facilitate data ingestion, build optimized aggregates and building reporting solutions.
- Develop scalable integration strategy to span multiple marketing channels, external vendors and data sources and internal warehouses.
- Write production-quality code to build models and work with IT and marketing teams to deploy them in production dashboards.
- Sample projects: How can we evolve our marketing attribution model? How can we calculate and measure ROI? How can we design the most effective marketing mix for customer acquisition, customer retention and pipeline acceleration?
Requirements
- Strong understanding of current marketing analytics best practices, including attribution and ROI methodologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying data architecture strategies or engineering practices for a marketing or sales team.
- 5+ years experience with complex SQL queries and knowledge of database technologies including window and analytical functions.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience working with Cloud database technologies like Redshift, Snowflake and multiple BI platforms such as Tableau, Splunk and scripting language like Python.
- Self-starter with a passion and curiosity for solving unstructured data problems and ability to manipulate and optimize large data sets.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to provide technical guidance, direction and problem solving to less technical audiences
- Confidence to offer consultation to business partners and team members within Sales, Partner, Marketing Operations.
- A familiarity working with AGILE/SCRUM process management.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent years of industry experience.
