Overview

GovCIO is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong knowledge base in analyzing contractual commitments and concentrating on the logistical aspects of operations and knowledge of data visualization tools for strategic planning. This position will be a fully remote position within the United States with 10-25% travel. Core hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

Responsibilities

  • Capture data and create customized reports and/or dashboards
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to leadership via dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze and use business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources.
  • Use data and stakeholder requirements to solution and to improve business processes
  • Analyze contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured data sets, to drive insights into logistics and data performance
  • Develop and implement program activities, collaborate with subcontractors, production departments, and field service personnel to ensure meeting of contractual commitments
  • Manage a small team, tasking them to grow toolset and capabilities within the contract

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Analytical Thinking – Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors; ability to effectively write/technical writing; and ability to understand and translate technical approaches and methodologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a vast array of personnel, distilling technical concepts to simple terms that are relevant to each audience
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholder groups
  • Experience presenting to high level customer personnel
  • Ability to use project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint, Power BI and capacity models
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance with Internal Revenue Service

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Advanced skill using business intelligence applications and/or cloud services
  • Advanced knowledge of reporting capabilities using power tools and software
  • Extensive attention to detail
  • Excellent time management 
  • Project Management Skills

Clearance Required: Ability to achieve and maintain public trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay range: $105,000 - $115,000 Annually
