Staff Analyst, User Behavior Analytics
Recharge is positioned to be the best Direct-To-Consumer ecommerce brand in the world. We are introducing multiple products that provide merchants with the tools and insights to create optimal shopper experiences to drive their business growth.
At the core of our new products, we are building a user behavior analytics platform that serves as a foundation. We are looking for an analyst who is outcome and value driven, and passionate about creating the best merchant and shopper experience with data-driven insights.
As the lead analyst and subject matter expert in user behavior analytics, the candidate will have an unique opportunity to partner with our product management as well as product and data engineering, to define and drive the adoption of shared user behavior analytics platform.
You will be responsible for developing queries, data visualizations, and dashboards that answer business questions, making sure they function as designed, and are delivered on time. Staff Analysts are expected to guide senior and junior analysts, especially during code review and query design.
What you’ll do

- Partner with the product manager, data engineering, and data technical product manager to define company-wide Segment and Amplitude integration strategy and roadmap.
- Work with the data technical product manager to define event logging taxonomy standards and operations.
- Design and create user experience funnel dashboards to extract required insights:
- To build Recharge’s up-and-cross sell product experience.
- To deliver value-prop data package for Recharge’s product portfolio
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of eCommerce website event logging and management to lead logging requirements with product and engineering function.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of eCommerce business data models and strong SQL skills to draw connection between business outcome and user behavior.
- Work independently to find creative solutions to difficult problems, and disseminate findings to stakeholders.
- Consistently demonstrate a willingness to lean in as needed when duty calls.
- Be a point of contact with engineering teams and manage multiple projects.
- Communicate priorities and updates clearly through Slack, email, and on video calls.
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of analytical experience in fast paced environments
- 5+ years of experience in user behavior analytics within a fortune 500 company ecosystem
- 2+ years of experience developing and operating with Segment/Amplitude
- Proven experience leading cross functional teams to ensure the Product’s impact is felt throughout the business (Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Finance etc.)
- Strong statistical experience looking at the efficiency of product releases (A/B testing, etc.)
- 3+ years of working within an Engineering development cycle
- Expert in translating data findings to broader audiences including non-data stakeholders, engineering, and executive leadership to maximize impact
- Expert in Business Intelligence and data visualization, including tools like Looker, Tableau, etc
- Experience in dimensional modeling in dbt or Azure
- Ability to demonstrate proficient expertise in Python or R around data engineering or data science
- Ability to demonstrate high self-sufficiency to take on complex problems in a timely manner
- Consistently navigates ambiguous technical and business requirements while making flexible technical decisions
- Consistently delivers technically challenging tasks efficiently with quality, speed, and simplicity
- Expert in SQL and data visualization
- Payments and/or eCommerce experience preferred
