The Data Science team lies at the foundation of Zoom’s success - you'll be working cross-functionally with teams of engineers, scientists, marketers, and product professionals on some of the most critical projects in the company - whether it's exploratory research to predict user behavior, or running experiments to optimize untapped areas of growth, or developing machine learning models that deliver “happiness” to our users more consistently and at scale.

Our team is taking Zoom's data culture to the next level by integrating predictive models into our infrastructure, and we are looking for someone like you to help us get there! This role is based in most places in the US.

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineering leader that focuses on data engineering best practices, architecture, processes to help build reliable, performant, and scalable data platforms. This person will lead by influence, with a deep focus on data quality, velocity, and curation.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Data Engineering across Zoom, partnering with other Data Engineering leaders to define best practices, processes, and architectures for building a world-class data engineering practice

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define the orchestration of source-to-target mappings and data integration workflows

  • Development of scalable and robust automation components, using tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, Jenkins, Python, Scala, Git, and scripting languages as necessary.

  • Developing and mentoring the data engineering team, ensuring that best practices are implemented for data workflow, data governance, data quality, and related activities.

  • Track cost and performance metrics for data pipeline resources, helping to evolve and optimize the workflows

  • Assisting in production support by resolving source data issues and refining transformation rules when needed.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to design and develop our data warehouse and data models

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Management of Information System, or related field

  • 10+ years of data engineering experience for data engineering or analytics teams 

  • 7+ years of experience in influenced leadership, with a focus on driving business and technical impact without managing the individual teams

  • 7+ years of experience with SaaS services 

Colorado Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$161,400.00 USD

Maximum :

$298,600.00 USD

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus and equity value.  Information about Zoom’s benefits is hereNote: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.  We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
