Job Description
Reporting into the Executive Director of Data Governance, you will be accountable for establishing, implementing, and managing data governance policies across CVS Health and its affiliates. You will lead data governance policy initiatives and ensure adherence to data governance policies and standards and provide consulting for enterprise-scale data governance services that address business uses, user experience, service performance and operational fit requirements. Your focus will be on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of data governance processes across CVS Health. This role will drive engagement with business partners, Legal & Privacy, Information Security and Information.

The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator and partner, detail obsessed, and can navigate a highly federated organization. This individual has applied experience with metadata and data catalog management within a large organization and will be an advocate for best practices in metadata creation, management, and distribution across all LOBs within CVS. This person should be knowledgeable about the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), consumer privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA/CPRA) and payment industry standards, (e.g., PCI DSS). They will have an innovative mindset and relentlessly seek best practices and technologies. Additionally, they will be expected to make immediate impact to establish effective policy controls and measures, reduce complexity, and increase compliance with data governance policies and best practices. He/She will possess strong and widespread domain knowledge of HealthCare.

Responsibilities:
• Drive planning and prioritization of data governance initiatives to manage CVS Health data
• Lead risk-based approach to develop, manage, and maintain data governance policies, control standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Oversight of data governance findings and remediation plans, progress tracking, and cross functional interactions.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of industry best practices, compliance obligations and internal standards to support compliance and risk management objectives.
• Provide data governance solution consulting to ensure the best possible solutions (people, process and technology) are applied to effectively and efficiently meet business needs.
• Lead generation and automation of data governance dashboard, metrics, and scorecards.
• Lead change management, awareness and communication for enterprise-wide programs.
• Collaborate with information security, Legal & Privacy, business and IT partners on risk mitigation and continuous improvement strategies.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 115,000
Maximum: 230,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of steady career progression with data governance work experience.
• 5+ years of data governance policy creation and management experience
• 5+ years of experience identifying data governance risk within data solution implementations.
• 5+ years of experience with data governance controls alignment to key regulations like HIPAA, PCI, CPRA and GDPR.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing, communications, and briefing skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
• Influence stakeholders without authority
• Communicate effectively in a manner that is clear, logical, and consistent both verbally and written
• Generate enthusiasm, commitment, and alignment
• Prepare materials and presentations with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines
• Applied experience Familiarity with industry standard data management frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK, or EDM DCAM and/or CDMC

Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced knowledge of emerging data governance trends
• Continuous learner well informed on technology trends, methodologies, and models.
• Ability to manage a high degree of complexity and distill information that provides clear direction.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on mobilizing the organization to deliver the strategy.
• Experience with data governance in hybrid cloud environments

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Master’s Degree Preferred
