Translucent is taking advantage of the latest data tools & techniques to build a next generation accounting system. As such Data is at the very heart of the company and the product, with Machine Learning its arteries.
Collaborate with a high-performing, experienced team who've founded, built and exited startups. You'd be a valued peer alongside data engineering, design, product and software engineering team members.
The Role
You’ll join the founding Data Science Team of an exciting new data/next gen accounting system startup, with funding in place and validated customer demand.
You will have the opportunity to set up our end-to-end ML framework to enable both rapid experimentation and production integration with Data Engineering, Dev and Business Intelligence services.
You will design and drive the interfaces with other teams, both technical and human.
You’ll work on the MVP of our product alongside our Data Engineering and Dev teams.
You will be working with financial and accounting data from source through to the myriad applications of the data.
5+ years of experience in developing, deploying and maintaining ML models for both tabular and free-text data, with expertise in NLP and graph-based approaches a strong plus.
Experience with MLOps, with DataOps or business-intelligence experience a strong plus.
Experience in deploying production-standard code (including Python and SQL on cloud).
Experience with data oriented software development, including a firm grasp of modern development practices.
Experience with ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, tensorflow, scikit-learn), (distributed) computational frameworks (e.g. PySpark, dask, numpy) and ML lifecycle frameworks (e.g. Weights & Biases, MLflow, VertexAI, tf-extended), with experience in ML data frameworks (e.g. GreatExpectations, DVC) a strong plus.
Experience in effectivelybridging communications between Data Engineering and Dev teams.

Salary: Up to £120k p.a. + option package.
