Attune is making it easier, faster, and more reliable for small businesses to access insurance (think, pizza place down the street or main street store). They all need insurance to protect their businesses, but when it comes time to get a policy, they’re bogged down by hundreds of questions, lots of paperwork, and a seemingly never-ending timeline stretching for weeks or months.

We are changing all that. By using data and technology expertise to understand risk, automating legacy processes, and creating a better user experience for brokers, we’re able to provide policies that are more applicable and more transparent in just minutes.

Simply put, we’re pushing insurance into the future, focusing on accuracy, speed, and ease.

Our mission and our team are growing. In staying true to our values, we’ve earned our spot on many workplace award lists. Attune is dedicated to creating a diverse team of curious, focused, and motivated people who are excited about changing the future of an entire industry.

Job Description

You will join a growing analytics team in supporting Attune’s leadership in making strategic decisions by creating, visualizing, and communicating the key metrics and insights that impact the business. You will partner with the product, operations, and underwriting functions within Attune to understand and quantify the performance of key initiatives, distribution channels, and products.

Responsibilities

  • Finding and representing actionable insights to stakeholders including upper management, creating and maintaining data infrastructure, and providing thought leadership on data and analytics best practices.
  • Identifying and implementing new metrics and data models across the organization, working closely with business teams to ensure consistent definitions and maintain high user adoption.
  • Working with the rest of the analytics team on data systems architecture with a view to data consistency, robustness, and general codebase best practices.
  • Being a subject matter expert with reporting and quick analysis tools and being a guide to others in the organization to reach a level of self sufficiency.
  • Working closely with our cross-functional partners and leadership team to drive critical business insights (this is a high visibility role!).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in an analytics or data focused role, with responsibility for reporting on, monitoring on, and driving critical business insights for a significant product area or business function.
  • Proficiency with common data reporting tools and languages, including fluency with writing efficient SQL queries, expertise in data visualization platforms such as Looker or Tableau, and a working knowledge of Python/R.
  • Familiarity with data engineering workflows, Git version control, and best practices for writing code.
  • Relevant work experience creating and owning reporting and monitoring for a product, including both a deep understanding of the underlying data and communication to senior leadership.
  • Ability to understand user requests in terms of business/strategy questions rather than literal directives.
  • Product sense and a strong appreciation for user experience, including helping users become more self-sufficient and data literate.
  • Curiosity, a passion for working with both numbers and users, and a desire to learn.

What we offer you:

  • 140-170k total per year
  • Flexible PTO
  • Generous parental and caregiver leave
  • 401K match
  • Excellent medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Remote-first culture
  • And more!
