The Difference You Will Make:

As a Senior Real Estate Data Analyst for Airbnb for Real Estate (A4RE), you will sit on the Business Strategy & Operations team. You will serve as a partner to both Go-To-Market and Data Science. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for creating financial models utilizing internal Company data, rent rolls, property financial statements to help Multifamily understand the value of the Airbnb as an Amenity. In addition, you will work with Data Science to analyze data and draw conclusions to present to Leadership and other key stakeholders about business trends and opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has good analytical and problem-solving abilities. We are looking for someone who has the ability to develop a strong analytical framework, break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution and implement it using advanced quantitative methods. You have the ability to work within tight deadlines, balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives, and utilize data to clearly outline business predictions or proposals.

A Typical Day: 

• Create financial models independently and incorporate complex structures or nuances
• Partner with key stakeholders to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities. Inform, influence, support, and execute our sales strategy based on data analysis.
• Own analytical framework to gather and analyze data (collect, clean, extract, transform, interpret) and draw conclusions to present to Leadership and other key stakeholders
• Develop visualizations to make your sophisticated analyses accessible to a broad audience
• Participate in internal initiatives to ensure the business is well-managed and operates efficiently
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Airbnb data structures and metrics and what drives the business 
• Work collaboratively across the business to find opportunities for using data to provide meaningful analytics to drive business solutions and support key operational and strategic initiatives 
• Share your high-quality insights and recommendations to peers and leadership in order to influence or drive faster business decisions 
• Prepare a rolling 24-month financial forecast for the business working closely with relevant stakeholders for inputs
• Refresh financial forecast each month with inputs from Product and Go-to-Market Supply teams
• Exercise discretion, independent judgment and problem solving abilities to complete work assignments

Your Expertise:

• BA/BS level degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Data Science
• 5+ years of relevant work experience 
• Working knowledge of SQL or other tools for querying large datasets 
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau, Mode, Looker, etc.)
• Ability to perform quantitative analysis including data mining on highly complex data sets
• Experience applying your analytical skills to contribute to projects or programs which have had a proven impact on business performance and process 
• Strong Excel proficiency 
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
• High attention to detail and the desire to take ownership of a process to drive towards resolutions
• Strong motivation with the ability to work without supervision, keen judgment and a pay for performance attitude
• Possess the professionalism and composure to provide client focused business while also managing internal relationships

How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $132,000 and $164,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
