We now have an exciting opportunity to bring an Analyst onboard our Business Analysis team, working across all brands, territories and verticals. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the food revolution and join our food-tech start-up as we take our growth to the next level.

As part of the team, our expectation from you is to:

  • Be the champion of data driven decision making at Marley Spoon
  • Become an expert in our datasets, provide insights, drive key improvement initiatives and work with other teams to harness data into actionable insights
  • Use our data mining & visualization tools, as well as SQL, to mine relevant data from DWH and other data sources for analysis and reporting
  • Develop, implement and maintain reports and dashboards
  • Move beyond simple reporting & analysis to generating actionable insights (what, why, when, how)
  • Have strong ownership and responsibility instincts, getting-things-done attitude and be able to deal with ambiguity
  • Good understanding of metrics (such as LTV, cohorts, CPA, CPR, CVR) as well as methodologies like A/B testing, control groups, sample size, statistical significance, etc. and the ability to utilize different methodologies in analysis
  • Ability to attach complex business questions with data and curiosity to deep dive to identify the root cause and solutions
  • Ability to work with ratios to identify core metrics, patterns and triggers
  • Be able to tell a compelling story from your analysis
  • Advanced skills and hands-on experience in Excel, as well as a data mining tool (preferably Looker)
  • Prior experience in front-end tracking tools, such as Google Analytics, Heap
  • Preferably, some experience in quantitative or statistical methodologies
  • Understanding of DWH ecosystems and hand-on SQL experience (preferred)
  • Great communication skills in English
  • The position is open as "fully remote in Portugal", so you have to be based in Portugal, but don't have to live specifically in Lisbon
