About the Role

Abnormal Security is looking for a Marketing Analytics Lead to join the Strategy & Analytics GTM team. The S&A GTM team supports our sales, marketing, and customer success functions with advanced analytics, reporting, and strategic initiative development/execution. This role will be responsible for leading our partnership with the Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Enterprise SaaS, and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders to drive desired business outcomes.

What you will do 

  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations to instrument, track, and report on the entire marketing funnel (pre-MQL through opportunity creation)
  • Support Marketing in evolving our Marketing funnel (lead scoring, attribution modeling) with advanced analytics 
  • Advise Marketing on how to maximize ROI (pipeline created per dollar spent), by understanding and tracking how much different marketing activities cost, and how they generate pipeline over time 
  • Be viewed as the Subject Matter Expert on how various Demand Generation activities drive pipeline and eventually convert to revenue and advise the marketing team on mid-qtr changes to our demand gen strategy 
  • Partner with finance to review and approve marketing budgets, ensuring that we are maximizing ROI on every marketing dollar spent 
  • Become the custodian of the assumptions (conversion rates, efficiency metrics) that power our Demand Generation model, and maintain this dataset as the singular source of truth used company wide for any Demand Gen modeling 
  • Partner with Digital team to optimize paid channel mix, assess lead follow up / SLAs, touches, conversion, SDR activity trends 
  • Partner with Field and Channel Marketing team to optimize event mix and assess event follow up, touches, conversions trends
  • Build cadences to communicate insights, flag risks, and provide recommendations to Marketing function leads on a recurring basis

Must Haves 

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Prior experience in Marketing analytics/ demand generation, strategic finance or business operations at a large technology company
  • Mastery of data analysis - experienced in manipulating large datasets; able to dig deep to pull out insights and trend drivers  
  • Mastery of data visualization - experienced in recognizing the most efficient and concise way to tell stories with data
  • Experience in communicating and presenting complex insights to stakeholders
  • Capable of building interpersonal partnerships to deliver on key cross-functional workstreams
  • Experience in executing and delivering in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have 

  • Prior experience in marketing analytics / growth
  • Prior experience in Enterprise SaaS / Cybersecurity
  • Proficient in SQL/Python
  • Direct management experience not required, but a desire to do so (eventually) preferred
