The Role
As theManager of the Health Data Analytics team for Veeva Compass, you’ll lead a team of analysts focused on delivering quality data in our Compass Patient data product.
You’ll work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to design and own key quality metrics, identify improvements, and work cross-functionally to design and implement features to continue to enhance our data. You’ll focus on product improvements that work at scale across billions of records.
Veeva Compass is our suite of data products, including HCP-level data to support targeting, prescription and medical claims record-level data to support more comprehensive de-identified patient analytics, and projected prescription and medical claims data.
As the Manager of our Analytics team, you’ll understand the critical business problems our commercial customers and internal stakeholders are trying to solve and how data can help them achieve their goals. You’ll use this information to identify focus areas and build the analytics roadmap.
Veeva Compass products are a new suite, and you’ll lead the team to build dashboards that promote data visibility, build standard templates and practices for the intake and management of analytic projects, automate recurring deliverables for internal measurement of the network and data maturity, and determine the right success metrics and models to measure analytic value.
The Health Data Analytics team is embedded within the Product team to help ensure that data-driven feedback and improvement opportunities can be easily acted on.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about data and excited about working alongside Product Managers, Customer Success Managers, and Engineers to drive continuous improvement & data quality in our Compass data products.
What You’ll Do
- Scale and manage a team of high-performing health data analysts with expertise in claims data and data quality
- Manage backlog and priorities for the analytics team, including data quality roadmap
- Own design of new data analytics and data quality features & capabilities, including features such as match, merge, dedupe logic, value enrichment, and reference mappings
- Establish quality metrics, monitoring, and dashboards and design roadmap and plan to drive continuous improvement of our data products
- Own onboarding of new data sources, including communication of incoming data, supplier updates, and working with Product Managers for any new features needed to supply new or existing data suppliers
- Own the investigation and resolution of data observations and data questions
- Work closely with the Data Quality and Health Data Management teams to highlight analytic findings and opportunities for improvement and expansion of the data network
- Work closely with the Product team to influence product roadmap and contribute to design decisions and product vision
Requirements
- 7+ years of business consulting or analytics experience working with prescription and medical claims data
- 3+ years leading analytics teams
- Must have expertise in prescription and medical claims data
- Experience defining KPIs and implementing dashboards & data monitoring to measure success
- Ability to own end-to-end data features & improvements – identifying, designing & implementing features, and performing quality checks to ensure successful implementation
- Experience working with an Engineering and QA team on driving product features and data quality improvements
