Job Description
Reporting into the Executive Director of Data Governance, you will be accountable for defining and implementing the metadata management strategy across CVS Health and its affiliates. You will work closely with stakeholder teams to establish the necessary roles and business processes to drive effective metadata management to enable data users to easily discover, understand, and use the data they need to drive insights and actions.

The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator and partner, is relentlessly focused on process improvement, and can navigate a highly federated organization. This individual has applied experience with metadata and data catalog management within a large organization and will be an advocate for best practices in metadata creation, management, and distribution across all LOBs within CVS.

Responsibilities:
• Own, lead and manage all aspects of metadata management practice including business and technical metadata capture and maintenance, lineage, sensitive data tagging and management, metadata standards and data discoverability
• Ensures that the metadata framework captures all relevant metadata needed for LOB needs as well as data management compliance
• Leads efforts in defining appropriate metrics to measure the quality of the metadata relative to usability and compliance with internal and regulatory policies
• Define process, frequency, and responsibility for identification of metadata discrepancies and resolution.
• Establishes the metadata management practice and process
• Drives adoption of metadata management practice through training and effective change management across stakeholder groups
• Establishes data lineage framework and implementation approach to ensure end-to-end lineage from source to target environments
• Ensures the accuracy of metadata in association with business/technical required policies and procedures

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 140,000
Maximum: 280,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Healthcare industry
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data management/data governance role
• Knowledge of Metadata Management and Master Data Governance best practices
• Familiarity with industry standard data management frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK, or EDM DCAM and/or CDMC
• Experience with Collibra, Alation or similar data management solutions
• Agile delivery experience
• Experience implementing technology solutions either as a project, technical, or functional lead
• Experience with public and hybrid cloud environments
• Experience working in a GCP environment preferred

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
• MBA desirable
