As the Data Analyst 2, you will act as the Analytical expert and will provide analytic leadership to support Government Program operational reporting and analytics, planning, forecasting, machine learning and process improvements. You’ll work closely with business leaders to develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance to help Government Operation fulfill its mission.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate with business operations team, understand the requirement
- Develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance to help the business achieve its business objectives
- Support operational analytics, machine learning and process improvement data deep dive, identify and execute on new opportunities for increases in efficiencies and performance
- Support data governance and stewardship work streams
- Develop predictive model and solid analytics solutions
- Formulate hypothesis, develop queries and models to evaluate hypothesis and formulate solutions to drive process & performance improvement
- Develop visionary and creative analytic solutions to measure business performance; identifies / quantifies drivers, risks and opportunities and defines solutions to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities
- Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, projects and / or approaches

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and equivalent combination of education, experience
- 5+ years of experience utilizing SQL and/or relational database tools
- 3+ years of experience in reporting & analysis, data management & reconciliation
- 2+ years of experience within a Data Science environment with demonstrated experience with big data tools and platforms (SAS, R, Python, Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, etc.)
- 2+ experience applying computational algorithms, statistical and programming methods to structured and unstructured data
- 2+ years of experience with Tableau
- Proven ability to demonstrate key successes on business solution derived from analysis and deep learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with ETL
- Snowflake experience
- Project Management (Agile, Waterfall methodologies) and Operational (claims, call center, etc) experience
- Analysis experience within managed care/health insurance industry experience in government programs, and/or finance
