We are hiring a Data Scientist to work on a pivotal Federal program that is making a positive impact on millions of Americans' daily lives. 

What you'll be doing:

  • The Data Scientist will determine opportunities for user analytics and identify issues with user experience and communicate those findings to the Product team. They will explain why problems on products exist and prove when a new user experience can be beneficial. The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing methods to collect, organize, and analyze data about users and user behaviors. Their goal is to turn the user data into strategies about product development that create better experiences for users and help users find and use the products that CMS prioritizes.
  • Synthesize existing user research and product vision to create a cohesive user experience across the suite of products that empowers beneficiaries to explore and understand HealthCare.gov’s product offerings.
  • Continuously improve ECOS digital products and aid consumer understanding of their available healthcare options, streamlining their access to health plan information and their ability to enroll in a health plan that is right for their household situation.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years experience planning, designing, building and implementing IT-related data architecture strategies
  • 5+ years experience in the direct supervision and management of major projects that involve providing professional support services and/or the integration, implementation and transition of large complex system and subsystem architectures
  • Experience building  partnerships to drive change in the government space
  • Experience providing  guidance to and assisting other engineers that do not report directly to them
  • Experience with Google Analytics Dashboard, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, AWS (RDS database, S3, Route53)  and Tealium
  • Experience working as a federal government contractor preferred

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically 
  • Must be able to attain low-level security clearance

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $125,000 – $175,000
