WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE
We are looking for a Data Engineer who wants to be part of a team that collects, builds pipelines, and architects big data to drive our eCommerce business and better serve our Athletes. In this role, you will work with modern web, mobile app, cloud, and open source technologies to transform the future of sport.
You will partner with eCommerce, Marketing, Digital Media, Personalization, Analytics, and Technology teams to build and enrich data from our eCommerce websites and mobile apps to be used to drive data-driven decisions, provide insights, enable personalization, and build reporting.
What you will bring:

Python, SQL, or other standard data scripting languages skills

JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, or other object oriented programming languages skills for collecting data on the web and mobile app

Willingness to learn Cloud technologies and databases (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, Google BigQuery, Pivotal Cloud Foundry)

Knowledge of building, automating, managing, and maintaining data pipelines

Knowledge of REST or SOAP APIs

Ability to work with extremely large datasets (100+ TB)

Understanding of data structures, relationships, and integration patterns

Understanding of version control and automated CI/CD with technologies such as Git/ GitHub, GitHub Actions, Concourse, Vault

Comfortable working on a highly-technical team

Comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to capture and understand business requirements

Job Duties & Responsibilities
-
Work as part of a team developing data collection solutions on the web and mobile app, building and automating data pipelines to and from the cloud, and architecting data to be used for analysis and reporting
-
Work with stakeholders and partner Analytics team to enable data-driven insights, resolve data and technical issues, and support data infrastructure needs

Provide production support for data collection and movement solutions that are Athlete facing on the web and mobile app and internal-partner facing in the cloud and reporting
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, Information Technology, or related field required; or equivalent experience

1-3 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Web or Mobile App Development

Knowledge of: Python, SQL, or other standard data scripting languages

Knowledge of: JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, or other object oriented programming languages for collecting data on the web and mobile app

Knowledge of continuous integration/ continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g. Concourse)

Experience with version control technologies (e.g. GitHub) preferred

Experience with Google Cloud Platform/ Google BigQuery preferred

Ability to creatively troubleshoot complex problems

Skill in reading and interpreting technical instructions as applicable to job

Ability to organize and prioritize projects

Targeted Pay Range: $54,600 – $90,800
