The E&I Marketing team has an opening for an experienced, strategic minded Data Architect. You will help us strategize, plan, build/enhance, and optimally run a data landscape that will fuel the growth of our E&I (Employer & Individual) B2B business.
The data landscape that you will help architect will enable/fuel key Data Analytics and Data Science services to our Marketing & Sales partner teams.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Data strategy, data architecture and solution architecture/design for the E&I B2B Marketing data landscape
- Identify, Define and Build key Data Domain services to enable process/performance measurements and analytics
- Define required data quality, data auditing and data validation processes, data architecture and solution designs to ensure high quality data is available for all the data domains in the landscape
- Build Data Architecture for key initiatives taken up by our department
- Provide Data Architecture guidance and designs to enable measurements and analytics tied to B2B Marketing Analytics, B2B Sales Analytics and B2B Product Performance Analytics
- Identify and own operational efficiencies in process and technical processing data in the landscape
- Manage vendor partners responsible for data sources, data warehouses and applications that provide data & business rules for all the relevant data domains
- Partner with internal and key vendor partners to identify, secure and properly structure required reporting data, including media agency partners
- Self-motivated professional who can operate independently and produce results
- Effective interpersonal influence and collaboration skills with internal stakeholders
- Solid communication skills and experience working across many levels of an organization
- Ability to present complex data concepts in simple way to senior partners and leaders

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture in medium to complex data landscape
- 5+ years of experience in Data Base Design & Modeling
- 5+ years of experience in Data Integration (ETL, ELT)
- 5+ years of experience in developing Data Solution Architecture and detail designs (interfaces, etl/elt, data structures, security design, data quality validation processes)
- 3+ years in developing Data Architecture capability roadmaps
- 3+ years of experience in supporting Data Analytics and Data Science teams for their data needs
- 3+ years of experience in working in fast paced agile environment
- Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills to help non-technical audience(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, economics, etc.), ideally with coursework in statistics & databases
- Experience with cloud data platforms and migration of data services from on-prem to cloud (Azure preferred)
- Health Care Insurance experience
- Marketing & Sales domain experience
- Python programming skills, DevOps, GitHub experience
- Demonstrated problem solving skills within an analytical framework
- Proven ability and interest in mastering new areas of analytics, statistical computing, etc.
- Demonstrated excitement around using data to help solve problems and simplifying results for a wider audience
