Your Impact

We are seeking a talented Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Center of Excellence. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their analytics and reporting needs, collaborate with the data engineering team to design end-to-end solutions, and implement reporting using Sigma Computing. Your contributions will help shape the way data is used to drive decisions at Axon.

What You’ll Do

Location: Remotely from USA

Reports to: Analytics Center of Excellence Leader

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and understand their analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to design and develop comprehensive data solutions that meet business needs.
  • Implement and maintain analytics and reporting solutions using Sigma.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reports and dashboards.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models to support reporting and analytics.
  • Create and maintain documentation for analytics solutions, processes, and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to business users on how to use Sigma for their reporting needs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in analytics and reporting.


What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Sigma or similar analytics platforms such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker etc...
  • Expertise in writing clean and performant SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with modern analytical data modeling approaches (Kimball, Star Schema, etc...).
  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience working with big data and modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc...).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.


Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with DBT for data transformations.
  • Knowledge of data governance and best practices for data security and privacy.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with data quality framework (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, DBT Testing, etc...)

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 104,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 156,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
