Sr.  Data Architect–Google Cloud 
 
In this role you will be delivering solutions on Google Cloud.  You will be the expert in the region and support the delivery of our data projects on Google Cloud.  Our Data Architects are experienced technologists with technical depth and breadth, along with strong interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work directly with customers and our team to help enable innovation through continuous, hands-on, deployment across technology stacks, will serve as the Data SME for our customers and be the focal touchpoint in engagements.   

You Will: 
Data Architect is client facing, hands on technologist that works on assigned projects to act as the lead technologist for the engagement.  Design and implement MVP/Pilot GCP cloud solutions, create solution architecture document covering deep technical aspects of the implementation. Be "hands on" with technology and to contribute to the design, development and support development teams with recommendations and adoption of tools. You will work in teams to deliver innovative solutions on Google Cloud using core cloud data warehouse tools like Spark, Event Stream platforms, and other Big Data related technologies. Build and Deploy Data Pipelines on Google Cloud to enable AI & ML capabilities. Drive the development of cloud-based and hybrid data warehouses & business intelligence platforms. Build Data Pipelines to ingest structured and Unstructured Data. Training – Develop and execute a professional plan that will enhance skills. Contribute to sales process improvement, including developing knowledge bases, creating sales tools, and mentoring other Solutions Architects 

Technical Requirements:

    • 3+ years of Google Cloud experience and 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect with a proven track record and experience leading engagements from design to implementation of data analytics solutions.  
    • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform. 
    • Experience leading data warehousing, data ingestion, and data profiling activities. 
    • Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write, tune, and interpret SQL queries; tool specific experience in the RDBMS listed above is ideal. 
    • Hands-on experience with Google cloud platform technologies: Google Cloud Platform Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, DataFlow, DataProc (Hadoop, Spark, Hive), Cloud Machine Learning, Cloud Data Store and BigTable, BigQuery, DataLab, and DataStudio. 
    • Proven experience in migration databases like mySQL, Postgres, and Oracle to Cloud SQL. 
    • Certifications in architecture, data engineering and development on Google Cloud. 

Other Requirements:

    • Highly motivated self-starter and team player and demonstrated success in prior roles. 
    • Excellent problem solving, analytical, presentation, and whiteboarding skills 
    • Track record of success dealing with ambiguity (internal and external) and work
    • Track record of success dealing with ambiguity (internal and external) and working collaboratively with other departments and organizations to solve challenging problems
