This role is a first of its kind on a newly formed, high-impact team working closely with senior leadership across the company acting as a strategic through partner on cross-company Shopping strategy. They will be at the forefront of new product and business opportunities in an incredibly dynamic industry cutting across technology and retail. 

What you’ll do:

  • Be a strategic partner to x-company stakeholders (PM, Sales, BD, PMM, Eng, etc) by developing, scoping and executing key analyses that drive decision making, alignment and acceleration of the shopping strategy.
  • Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources via relevant tools (e.g., SQL) that serve as the foundation for strategic deep dive analysis. 
  • Synthesize large data sets into a clearly articulated narrative with actionable insights, identifying areas of opportunity against top business and product objectives. Use data visualization tools to clearly communicate these insights and recommendations through dashboards, charts, slides, and written docs.
  • Effectively present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to executive team, product and business leaders, and other cross-functional partners, in order to influence product roadmap decisions.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with proven ability to apply scientific methods to solve real-world problems on web-scale data.
  • Deep understanding of business strategy, ideally in digital ads.
  • Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity; fluency in SQL (or other database languages). Python or R a plus, not required.
  • A scientifically rigorous approach to analysis and data, and a well-tuned sense of skepticism, attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, results-oriented output.
  • Experience working with and influencing product teams including software engineers, designers, product managers and data scientists.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain learnings to both technical and non-technical partners.
