Atlassian seeks a Senior Manager to lead a high-performing Data Scientists/Analysts team that supports the Service Enablement. The team provides insights from customer friction to help influence enhancements in Atlassian products, engineering, tools, and supportability to deliver high-quality customer experiences. The Senior Manager and the team are also responsible for innovative analytics solutions and data-driven process changes that help increase the efficiency of Support Engineers in the customer support organization.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned people manager with a background in applied statistics, economics or a related quantitative field. We are looking for someone with solid commercial awareness, who is comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, and has experience working with senior leaders and cross functional teams. You are a self-starter, strategic problem solver, and a humble leader. With demonstrated success in using data science to drive understanding, progression, and decision making for large organizations.
In this role, you will:
Lead a team of 10+ data scientists focused on deriving insights from customer friction to influence Atlassian products, engineering, tools, and process enhancements.
Be a people manager with experience in data science, analytics, applied statistics, a related quantitative field, and deep data engineering knowledge.
Partner with senior leaders to identify business opportunities and build Indicators.
Partner with multiple teams to lead transformative projects and make an impact.
Build shared vision, empower the team, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Create intuitive analytics insights, build data science solutions, and measure the impact.
Manage roadmaps, sprint planning, partner engagement, and remove blockers when needed.
Advocate team's work and coach data storytelling.
16+ years of experience in data analytics and data science field
10+ years of experience as a people manager
Success at managing global and remote teams
Success at building a culture of data-informed decision-making, fast learning, and new ideas
Strong technical background in statistics, measurement, experimentation, modeling, SQL, R/Python, data instrumentation
Experience applying advanced analytics knowledge to the real world
Roadmap planning, sprint planning, and project management skills
