Guidewire is searching for a risk modeling expert to empower our captivating story of vision, strategy, and disruptive impact, encapsulated in our portfolio of solutions for the $2T global insurance industry.  Your work will convince the actuaries and product managers of the world’s largest insurers that Guidewire augments their superpowers and redefines the frontier of the possible.  You will achieve this feat by taming the complex world of geo AI into elegant digital output that compels people to behold that, once they see what the future holds, there is no going back.

Execution:

    • Deliver maximum-impact model specifications, regulatory positioning, and support for development of collateral that supercharges our reach and ARR growth across multiple 
    • industries including insurance, real estate, and ESG.
    • Use project milestones together with effective and accurate documentation to communicate and track important deadlines. Leverage triannual model deployments to enable a successful timely launch of all data solutions. 
    • Build trust via transparency, frequent communication, and consistent delivery of expected outcomes with exceptional quality.
    • Operate a pipeline of thought leadership (white papers, blogs, podcasts) that signals and cements our innovative spirit and insurance industry expertise.
    • Work with corporate marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns and collateral.

Qualifications:

    • 7+ years' proven track record in development of geospatial and statistical risk assessment products in P&C domain (3+ years as team lead)
    • Strong strategic business acumen with intuitive mathematical prowess & detail orientation that is effective and meaningful, but not paralyzing.
    • Demonstrated confidence and business acumen to leverage analytics and data services to solve any insurance challenge combined with creativity that can be required for regulatory hurdles.
    • Proficient in Python or R, SQL, ArcGIS or QGIS, and GeoData with Advanced Microsoft® Excel skills
    • PhD, FCAS, or CPCU a plus
$141,000 - $211,000 a year
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000- $211,000+ bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
