You will:

• Deeply understand our data and define how user interactions create signals for ML models.
• Take full advantage of our scale of data. For example, use Transformers and other state-of-the-art deep learning architectures to extract rich user embeddings.
• Optimize personalization for new users by integrating other sources of data and innovating on models. For example, use Bayesian methods to smoothly combine priors about user segments with data-rich modeling approaches.
• Design for scale, both in terms of number of users and content and in terms of multiple use cases across the product.
• Increase the effectiveness of the team on a technical and problem-solving level through thoughtful collaboration with other Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and System Engineers.

You have:

• 4+ years of experience in data science or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline. Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Intermediate level or greater experience with Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Previous professional experience with developing personalization features, recommendation systems, or other related ML experience.
• Experience with TensorFlow and embedding-based deep learning architectures is a plus.
