Senior Data Product Owner

Senior Data Product Owner

Description

Job Title: Senior Data Product Owner

Department: Data - Analytics

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Product Owner. This role will report to the Senior Director of Data Governance & Management and work closely with data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and clinical leaders to produce end-to-end solutions for internal and external clients. With nearly a million managed lives across the country and terabytes of data generated, our teams need to be continuously equipped with the tools and insights to drive strategy and innovation to further our core values of improving patient outcomes and empowering our providers.

You are:

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and biased towards action. You can identify the 20% of the work that leads to 80% of the result and mobilize and execute the high-impact work consistently. You enjoy thinking about complex and ambiguous problems and can execute consistently and add compounding value.
  • Relentlessly resourceful. You enjoy taking ownership and can get things done without excuses. You are resilient, detail-oriented, and truly believe that no task is beneath you.
  • Growth-oriented. You evaluate all perspectives, even if uncomfortable, and have the courage to adjust your views if necessary. You have the expertise and communication skills to balance a growth mindset with a bias towards action.
  • Mission-driven. You are excited by the prospect of diving into complex problems that will drastically improve patient outcomes while lowering the cost of a tremendously inefficient US healthcare system, where waste is over 40% and per-capita healthcare dollars spent are double that of other developed nations.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end solution for the Astrana Health enterprise EDI & Dashboarding & Reporting teams.
  • Develop deep domain knowledge in value-based care clinical, financial, and compliance operations, tracking developments related to analytics products you build.
  • Align the EDI & Enterprise Dashboarding & Reporting solutions with Astrana Health Data & Analytics senior leadership and Astrana Health C-Suite executives’ strategy.
  • Partner heavily with data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to collectively design the solutions that drive real enterprise value at Astrana Health.
  • Partner heavily with engineering leadership to deeply understand our technical system and develop the models through which we measure and project developer velocity and capacity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in healthcare business/administration, analytics, statistics, computer science, data science or equivalent amount of relevant experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in product management, co-founder, or related technical role.
  • 5+ years as a Product Owner/Manager.
  • 2+ years as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or Data Scientist
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare – managed services organization or other related healthcare organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience delivering products using Databricks
  • 1+ years of experience delivering products using either AWS or Azure Cloud.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Healthcare EDI
  • 1+ years of experience working with Risk Adjustment, Quality, Care Management, and Utilization Management clinical programs.
