Anomaly builds a suite of products that make heavy use of machine learning and statistics to uncover insurance company payment patterns.

• Detect - a web front-end product to surface newly discovered insurance payment patterns and behavior changes.

• Predict - high-throughput API for claim denial prediction with configuration and monitoring live in the web front-end.

• Recover - a batch analysis product delivered through the web front-end to prioritize denied accounts to help our clients work the right accounts at the right time.

This Role

In this role you’ll be working on the the full data pipeline from ingesting raw healthcare data from clients to producing the refined data inputs and models that serve the Anomaly product suite and customers

• Create new Airflow DAGs, data ingestion scripts and PySpark jobs

• Collaborate with ML engineers to create training pipelines

• Design and build data models to enable efficient and intuitive analysis

Required Experience

• 5+ years of data engineering in a fast moving team environment

• Strong computer science fundamentals

• Expert level knowledge of SQL, Python

• Experience with large scale data platforms like Spark

• Experience building robust data pipelines in tools like DBT and Airflow

Highly Valued Experience

• Experience with healthcare claims and medical record data

• Experience with healthcare data interchange standards like X12 EDI, FHIR, HL7 and CDA

Required Traits

• Ability to iterate quickly and seek feedback when confronted with ambiguous requirements

• Strong opinions on data modeling tools and structure

• A love of solving tricky technical and business problems with great teammates
