Job Description
Embark in a transformational journey with NBCUniversal as the company integrates SAP MDG and BODS. As the SAP Data Migration Lead Engineer, you’ll be facilitating a seamless transition during our SAP S/4 transformation by ensuring efficient migration of both Master Data and transactional data. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies such as, native HANA modeling, HANA Smart Data Integration, SAP SLT for replication, ABAP CDS View development for analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere and SAP BW4/HANA. - Gather requirements, design, and build of SAP MDG, SAP Data Services and Information steward that is critical part of SAP S/4HANA transition.
- Drive collaboration and communicate SAP-technologies in a simplified manner to business users to convey the “art of the possible.”
- Design and build the proposed MDG and Data services solution.
- Reviewing/Updating support & operations documentation where required
- Participating in production support role during key activity periods when required month-end, quarter-end, year-end etc.
- Ensuring the consistency of master data between MDG and related systems
- Reviewing & improving existing master data interfaces to eliminate master data issues in SAP ECC, SAP S/4, BW, BPC and any downstream systems.
- Liaising with other Product teams to ensure timely resolution of all issues and to promote good working relationships.
- Work in an onsite-offshore model involving daily interactions with offshore teams to ensure on-time quality deliverables.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in SAP MDG and SAP Business Objects Data Services, with a minimum 2+ years' experience in SQL
- 2+ years delivering complex data management engagements including all phases of the project life cycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live phases.
- At least 1 implementation experience in using SAP BTP and MDG
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to drive the ETL (SAP BODS) support process and ensure compliance of project standards and deliverables.
- Technical experience with one of the SAP Data Management applications, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), SAP Data Services (BODS), SAP Information Steward, SAP SLT, Smart Data Integration (SDI), or Smart Data Quality (SDQ) with team sizes ranging from five to twenty resources.
- Implementation experience and deep knowledge in any of the following three areas (Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality) and knowledge of the other two areas.
- Proven experience in an S/4 transformation program with BODS and MDG platforms
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of investigating data flows to and from SAP with SAP BW, SAP BPC systems, SAP S/4 and other non-SAP sources
- Strong understanding of financial data and experience in delivering finance and HCM analytics
- Media industry experience
