About The Role 
The goal of the Virtual Interlining team is to provide customers with the best flight prices and selection by creating unique flight inventory. We are looking for a skilled Product Operations Analyst to join our team as we scale Virtual Interlining to multiple Hopper partners.

As a Product Operations Analyst, you will provide scaled support to our B2B partners and the product development team. You will build reporting to monitor the performance of our product, use data and customer feedback to diagnose bugs and needed features, and work with the product development team to advocate for those fixes and features. You will serve as the product expert to answer stakeholder questions and manage communication around the rollout of algorithmic changes and new features. 

We are looking for a highly analytical self-starter who is excited about the challenge of learning new systems and products. The ideal candidate will have experience building reporting and communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders. 
This role will report to the Product Manager and work with a highly skilled team of technical, data and product-focused individuals. 

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

    • Become a subject matter expert in Virtual Interlining to answer stakeholder questions related to bugs and feature launches.
    • Monitor the performance of Virtual Interlining across all platforms and share weekly product performance updates with internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Coordinate the rollout of experiments across tenants and communicate changes to external partners.
    • Detect regressions in key metrics and surface to the product development team. Manage communication with our B2B partners as needed. 
    • Dive into the data using SQL and other tools to investigate product and data issues.  
    • Work with the product development team to strategize solutions to bugs, and test fixes once implemented. 
    • Serve as the primary point person for stakeholder feedback. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in our product. 
    • Run tests in app environments to validate issues.
    • Maintain high quality documentation of systems, processes, and settings. 
    • Thrive on the day-to-day collaboration with engineers, data scientists, and product managers.

Minimum Qualifications

    • A passion for Hopper’s mission to build the most customer-centric travel marketplace on Earth
    • Excellent judgment; ability to ask smart questions and make quick, impactful decisions
    • Highly proficient analytical abilities to draw accurate conclusions from data
    • Ability to communicate clearly with a technical and non-technical audience
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks at once
    • Experience building reporting, such as through Excel/Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Tableau, or other BI tools
    • Experience writing SQL 
    • Strong ability to grasp and articulate complex systems
    • Technical depth to enable productive collaboration with world-class engineers and data scientists
    • No ego. Strong focus on doing what is right for the customer and the company

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in product operations or analytics working with product and engineering teams 
    • Experience in the travel industry, especially air travel
