Do you have a passion for identifying unique business insights based on gigabytes of data? Want to apply your statistical knowledge, software skills and data science expertise to identify unique automotive insights, price movements and create predictive algorithms? We are looking for you! Our seasoned team of analysts have deep industry knowledge and are looking for a new team member to help socialize their knowledge into the broader organization, as well as help streamline existing processes. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Taking ownership of specific vehicle market segments, reviewing vehicle pricing on a daily basis, and making changes as needed.
  • Participating in weekly pricing reviews
  • Analyzing existing data, identifying new relevant data sources that enhance the vehicle pricing data we deliver to our dealers and consumers
  • Creation of new reports and visualizations based on your analysis and sharing this data with the sales, marketing and product teams.
  • Working with valuation analysts and the data science team to develop and enhance models, and helping to maintain accurate pricing on various vehicle segments. 

The right candidate would have:

  • 2+ years data analysis experience, ability to take disparate data and tell a compelling story with that data using charts and graphs
  • Experience manipulating data in Python or R or other languages suitable for data manipulation.
  • Mastery of tools like PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Ability to analyze vehicle specific data, economic data, regional inventory data, and other data points to identify new ways to create accurate vehicle pricing
  • Ability to participate in vehicle pricing discussions and oversee various vehicle market segments on a daily basis
  • Comfort working on data taxonomies, specifically designing and refactoring existing taxonomies
  • Intermediate Excel experience
  • Experience working in a fully remote environment
  • A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or other similar field

Extras: 

  • Automotive retail or wholesale experience
  • Familiarity with data sources for economic and automotive data
  • Vehicle guidebook experience
