About the Role:
How can we use data to build systems that enable easier and more affordable access to health care? In this role as Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and deploying machine learning models that drive personalization, recommendations, and automation across our platform. Your work will directly impact MedMatch, our AI-powered system that enhances provider-patient interactions, optimizes treatment recommendations, and expands into new verticals.Help guide and make technical decisions based on your knowledge of productionizing data science and ML models, balancing innovation and operational efficiency.
You Will:
Develop and deploy machine ML and LLM models for recommendation systems and personalized treatment strategies
Work extensively with Python and ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn to build and optimize models
Write clean, efficient, and production-ready code to support scalable ML applications
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate ML models into real-world systems
Set up necessary ML infrastructure components to streamline model training, evaluation, and deployment
Evaluate and implement cutting-edge ML tools and frameworks, keeping the company at the forefront of ML and LLM advancements
Mentor engineers, sharing expertise in ML modeling, deployment, and best practices
Actively participate in retrospectives and help drive continuous improvement in our process and culture
You Have:
10+ years of experience in Machine Learning and/or Engineering, with a strong emphasis on hands-on model development and coding
Expert-level proficiency in Python and deep experience in ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn
Experience with building and deploying ML models and recommendation systems
Strong background in LLMs and NLP applications, including applications like summarization and chatbots
Familiarity with ML deployment best practices, with the ability to bring models from research to production
Experience with ML infrastructure tools (e.g., Databricks, MLFlow, AWS SageMaker) is a plus
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
A collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally
