Overview

We are currently looking for a Lead Data Scientist to be based anywhere remotely in the USA.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists in analyzing large data sets to drive innovative feature engineering and the development of a variety of highly performant, robust fraud and risk models

• Develop machine learning, data mining, statistical, and graph-based algorithms designed to analyze massive data sets; partner with engineering to ensure proper implementation and usage of said algorithms.

• Provide analytic support to the data science and product teams.

• Ensure detailed monitoring of the performance of production models

• Implement new data modeling solutions and improvements to existing solutions.

• Report out on product/project status to senior management and clients.

• Work well in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, Mathematics, Statistics or similar or equivalent work experience

• 7-9 years of related work experience and a minimum of 5+ years of industry experience working in a similar role.

• Experience in developing data-driven algorithms in information retrieval, relevance, or machine learning and working with distributed systems.

• Knowledge of UNIX systems management, Python, Spark, Scala, SQL, HQL.

• Experience with data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling tools and underlying algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience in (1 or more): Python/Shell/C/Java/Scala.

• Working knowledge of Relational Database Systems.

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $165,000- $190,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity,  comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
