We’re looking for our future finance and data leaders; a great analytical mind with impeccable business judgment, who is interested in understanding Hopper’s financial drivers and people strategy deeply - helping us craft our long term financial and strategic plan, with a strong focus on people and staffing. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Hopperations, you will partner with stakeholders across the business - from Business Leaders to IT, Finance Control and People Operations & Analytics. You will help Hopper better understand where it invests its resources, how we can maximize talent density using data and help set the frameworks to make the right people & investment decisions. As part of your toolkit, you will implement process improvement and automation initiatives, deliver on reporting & planning cycles, assist in software procurement & define and develop best in class people analytics designed to maximize talent density. You are curious and relentless in understanding, which makes you happy working with stakeholders and capable of influencing them with clear and concise messages. You are also competent in SQL (and possibly other coding languages), like playing with huge data sets, a wizard in making sheets work by themselves and fantastic at distilling key insights from data analysis.

In This Role You Will:

    • Be at the forefront of developing world class people and financial analytics
    • Provide key insights and recommendations to leadership on how current and future talent density is measured, how it looks today and how we can improve.
    • Assist with analytics on corporate matters (e.g. equity planning)
    • Be in the pilot seat for bridging the complexities of the business with value-add reporting and future planning 
    • Be the gatekeeper of operational expenses (most of which are people related), from the inception and development of processes, to harnessing our systems for reporting and analysis.
    • Take joint ownership for significant expenses items such as software expenses
    • Leverage and improve your SQL / Big Query and other coding to be able to access, manage and gain insights directly from data

The Perfect Candidates Has:

    • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative focused discipline
    • 5 + years of experience, with at least 2 of them in a similar role
    • Top class analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with strong modelling experience
    • A desire and the will to automate everything
    • Excellent communication skills with any type of stakeholder and proven ability to influence
    • Google Suite proficiency, and good understanding of ERP systems
    • Expertise in SQL and in general, using programing as a tool to scale and solve problems
