About the role

The Director of Financial Analytics is a Strategic Business Partner to key collaborators across Andela’s global business functions and is able to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into concrete and useful insights in promoting data-driven strategies. 

Role and Responsibilities :

• Build and lead a technical platform that support analytics
• Use internal and external market data to build predictive models and gain insight into future business performance
• Provide data, support and insight for the various financial models used by Finance and the business, including the company’s long term strategic plan
• Create predictive models and strategic analysis for the purpose of guiding the finance forecasts
• Lead business analytics and initiatives that generate real time insight for the business
• Lead executive-level meetings and effectively communicate results and insights derived from complex models and analytics
• Partner with internal teams responsible for data to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Economics with 10+ years of relevant experience (additional education in lieu of experience)
• Experience using SQL, ETL, R, Python and visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker
• A self-starter with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• An effective business partner with strong communication skills and able to optimally drive thought leadership and collaborate across departments
• Must possess the ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, high-growth, and global environment
• Prior experience with financial modeling, financial planning and Accounting knowledge a plus
