The Lactation Network is hiring aDirector of Data Analytics who will drive data strategy, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare data, advanced analytical skills, and experience in managing a team of data professionals.

Role Breakdown
- Strategic Data Leadership (40%). This role will develop and implement the organization’s analytics vision and strategy aligned with business goals and objectives. You’ll champion data-driven decision-making and foster a data-centric culture across the organization.
- BI Analytics & Reporting (30%). You’ll develop advanced analytics and dashboards to track key business metrics and performance indicators. This role works closely with business stakeholders to develop data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Data Management & Governance (30%). This position will lead the collection, storage, management, quality, and governance of data to ensure compliance with all relevant data protection and privacy regulations. In addition, you’ll establish and oversee the build-out of data architecture and pipelines.
What you’ll do
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing analytics team.
- Identify opportunities for using data to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
- Establish a test-driven environment and provide data integrity validation.
- Ensure data security following appropriate medical and technical industry standards.
- Communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, organize, expose, and document data.
- Create documentation for data storage and pipelines.
- Build an on-ramp for incorporating data-driven technologies such as machine learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI.
What we expect from you.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Statistician, or similar role.
- 3+ years of experience in a data-oriented leadership role.
- 3 years of experience with cloud computing platforms.
- Experience with APIs and ETL processes.
- Strong knowledge of database design and tools for monitoring.
- Experience with test-driven environment and data integrity validation.
- Strong experience in SQL, Python, and scripting languages.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong experience with cloud data infrastructure and security (AWS, Azure)
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience in training analytical and data science teams on data and tools capabilities.
- Business-oriented mindset focused on the needs of end users and insights from the data.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulation and data privacy laws.
