As a Data Scientist, you will be focusing on measuring and optimizing our Marketing investments across Curology and Agency brands. You will work with business teams, data engineering, data analyst, and product teams to turn data science ML models into product solutions. Prior experience with exposure to acquiring users in Direct to Consumer Brands cross-consumer products is a plus. This role will include projects ranging from MMM, Propensity models, Customer Profiling & Segmentation, Clustering, Incrementality, Attribution, A/B Testing and Design, ad hoc advanced analysis, etc.


In this role you will:

    • Work with business partners and cross-functional tech partners to deeply understand data, customer lifecycle touch points, business opportunities, and core business KPIs to continuously build test, validate and deploy ML models and advanced analytics techniques
    • Support the growth marketing team on MMM, incrementality testing, and customer segmentation to drive higher LTV/CAC ratios
    • Work closely with the Growth team on forecasting Marketing $ allocation based on channel response curves and ROI
    • Carry out rigorous model validation and model tuning/optimization as part of the natural model life-cycle
    • Design, train and apply statistics, mathematical models, and machine learning techniques to create scalable solutions for predictive learning, forecasting, and optimization to drive business growth
    • Own the full lifecycle of model development from ideation and data exploration, algorithm design and testing, algorithm development and deployment, to algorithm monitoring and tuning in production
    • Innovate with new approaches, staying abreast of current research in the field and the broader machine-learning community

You will be successful if you have:

    • A passion for data including problem-solving, critical thinking, and diving into data in order to understand specific areas of the business better than anyone else and become an expert in their domain and sought out by business partners for that expertise.
    • Sharp business judgment and the ability to see past the noise and are able to work independently in an unstructured environment
    • A strong communicator, attentive listener, and compelling explainer with the ability to focus on a problem, ask insightful questions, and gain expertise quickly
    • A curious nature and the drive to dig into data insights and proactively answer the "why" questions
    • You have 4+ years of experience in machine learning both on supervised and unsupervised algorithms
    • You have strong expertise in SQL, Python, R or similar programming languages Java, Scala
    • Education: Strongly prefer, MS/Ph.D. In CS, Math or Statistics
    • Nice to have:
    • Previous experience in digital media and marketing is a plus
