How will this role have an impact?

The Data Analyst reports to the Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics. The Data Quality Analyst III will work closely with the product teams, which include Product Managers, Business Owners, and Development teams. You will be the Subject Matter Expert for the Business Intelligence product(s) for the QA testing teams. As the Data Quality Analyst III, ensure that all data presented in BI reports and dashboards, along with the back-end, are accurately and completely representative of the source data systems and thoroughly tested before deploying to production.

Qualifications:

Education/Licensing Requirements:

  • College degree in Computer Science and/or 8+ years equivalent experience required

Experience Requirements:

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for the Product(s) on the Business Intelligence team
  • Play an active role in release planning and be the voice of QA for the product.
  • Provide reporting and recommend improvements such as in-code coverage and defect density
  • Analyze BI/Performance Analytics Reports and Dashboards to ensure that client data and report outputs are in sync with the source data
  • Research and document the root cause for output issues and identify which areas are not in sync
  • Assist in verifying that corrections have been made by development prior to the release cycle
  • Mentor junior QA team members
  • Review issue resolutions with the Leadership team on a regular basis
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal staff and other stakeholders
  • Manage tasks to meet the assigned project dates

Essential Skills:

  • 5 - 8 years of QA experience is required (experience in BI/DW implementations a must)
  • Previous experience providing mentorship to Junior QA teammates
  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL (any SQL database engine is ok)
  • Experience with Automated Testing Tools (e.g. QTP, Selenium) is a huge plus
  • Exposure to Software Test planning
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry with specific experience in utilizing CMS systems is a big plus
  • Familiarity using BI reporting tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, Tableau, Kibana would be plus but not limited to)
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data (Experience in Big Data is plus)
  • Ability to work on multiple reports/issues for multiple clients at one time
  • Professional demeanor, dependable, and able to maintain confidential information
  • Flexible and able to successfully accept change and lead the charge
  • Able to successfully interact with all levels of an organization while building rapport and trust
  • Flexible on work hours depending on business needs

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Customer Success team and Operations as needed
  • Establishes standards for data quality
  • Assist in the design and development of data-quality frameworks
  • Develop, direct and manage efforts related to data quality initiatives
  • Leads system subject matter experts and the Business and Data Analysts to establish data-quality related requirements.
  • Establishes best practice standards for data quality initiatives
  • Builds or leads the development of data quality related solutions that present the user stories on the level of data quality
  • Establishes the vision and implements best practices for a data quality environment

 

The base salary hiring range for this position is $ 92,300 to $160,800. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
