The Data and Reporting Professional 2 for the Humana Government Business Provider Network Operations team generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
30%    Performing data analytics using Access, Excel, SQL, VBA
20%    Develop new methodologies to evaluate new programs/initiatives. Provide feedback to management based on your review and findings
20%    Have a good understanding of Humana data warehouse and recommend new tables/fields to use when necessary.  Have a good understanding of our table structure and dependencies
20%    Document analytical processes, methodologies and use established best practices.
10%    Monitor metric deficiencies and coordinate development of corrective action plan.

Required Qualifications

  • Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position

  • Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services)

  • HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico per our government contract.  We are not able to hire candidates that are currently living in Puerto Rico.

  • 3 years of experience in data reporting and analysis

  • Proficiency with SQL - need to know how to join tables and run intermediate queries

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and training documents

  • Experience working in and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams

  • Ability to work 8 - 5 p.m. in the Eastern time zone

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel experience (macros, Vue lookups, pivot tables)

  • Bachelor's degree

  • TRICARE Experience

  • Experience in a managed care or health care setting

Work at Home Requirements

To ensure Hybrid Office/Home associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Hybrid Office/Home associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$60,800 - $82,900 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
